About Karolina Lutkiewicz, PhD.
Karolina completed her Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Clinical Psychology and graduated a 2-year post diploma program in Clinical Sexology. She has gained experience through her work at a Crisis Intervention Centre, Psychiatric Hospitals and Psychotherapy Centers. She is a member of the Canadian Association of Psychodynamic Therapy (CAPT).
Karolina is particularly interested in helping people through the relational psychotherapy approach. She believes that empowerment and growth can begin within a trusted therapeutic relationship, which develops and transforms the sense of self. Her goal is to help people to understand their feelings, thoughts, past and present relationships and explore how they shape their current experience and difficulties. She believes everyone has the power and ability to change and grow, and decide their own destiny.
Currently, Karolina is a student at the Toronto Institute for Relational Psychotherapy (TIRP), a recognized training and educational program with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CPRO). She works also as psychotherapist-in-training.
Karolina is skilled in helping clients experiencing issues such as crisis situation interventions, varying concurrent mental health diagnoses, relationship issues, depression, stress and anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and sexual matters.
